This lone Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) has stood proud throughout the winter on a flooded heath in the New Forest National Park in Hampshire. I had driven past this spot many times before, thinking it would look good on a still day with a nice reflection but being on an open heathland even the slightest breeze caused ripples, so a long wait ensued until the water became mirror-like and I finally managed to capture the image I was after.
