One of my most popular workshops is ‘Dorset & Wiltshire Rural Landscapes’ that includes locations in the area around Wimborne Minster, Blandford Forum, Cranborne Chase and Shaftesbury.
The beauty of this workshop is that most of the locations are only a few minutes drive from each other and also just a short walk from the car parks making it suitable for people with all levels of fitness. There are a good number of locations to choose from including beech tree avenues, the ruin of a 14th Century church, a folly, ‘Hovis’ hill, sweeping vistas, watermills and Dorset’s oldest bridge which all offer different photographic challenges to learn and master. Even in summer none of the locations are too busy, unlike the Dorset Coast.
Here is a small selection of images made on a 1 to 1 Dorset & Wiltshire Rural Landscapes photography workshop this week, all were made with either the FujiFilm X-T1 or X-E1 cameras, the only filter used was a Heliopan Polariser on some images;
