Locations will include Botallack, Porth Nanven, Cape Cornwall, Sennen Cove and Land’s End
This photography course will last approximately 8 hours and can be run on an individual 1 to 1 basis or as a small group of up to 3 participants if you have friends or relatives who would like to join you. The small size of the group allows me to provide personalised tuition and advice based on your experience and requirements and also to maximise the potential of each location without overcrowding.
In addition to visiting stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography – composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and anything else you may wish to learn or cover.
A reasonable level of fitness is required as there are some steep paths to navigate but most of the locations are less than 20 minutes walk from the car parks. Please do not book if you are not comfortable navigating narrow clifftop paths (mostly the South West Coast Path).
Final locations will be selected according to the prevailing weather conditions on the day.
Ideally you will have a digital SLR or compact system/mirrorless camera with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures. If you have a FujiFilm X series compact system camera I can show you the many less obvious features that make this a great landscape photography tool.
All travel (to and from the photo locations) is included.
What isn’t included;
Travel to and from Cornwall, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink, camera equipment inc. tripods.
