West Cornwall 3 Day Landscape & Seascape Photography Workshop

A three day landscape photography tuition workshop course in the far west of Cornwall  – £429.00.

Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd November 2017 – FULLY BOOKED.

To book please enter your choice of date plus the number of participants and click the add to basket button.

A £100 deposit per person will secure your place with the balance to be paid 14 days before your chosen date.

We will visit classic locations such as the disused Tin Mines at Wheal Coates and Botallack, plus iconic Cornish places including Land’s End, St. Michaels Mount, Godrevy Head, Porthcurno, Porth Nanven, Sennen Cove, Cape Cornwall, Lanyon Quoit and Mousehole.

Please note that accommodation is not included as I have found many people like to make their own arrangements at a favourite hotel or B+B or even have their own camper or motorhome. If you wish I can recommend places to stay.

This will be an intensive 3 day workshop course with dawn and dusk shoots plus at least 2 other locations during each day and a couple of night shoots making the most of the stunning Cornish dark skies.

The workshop can be run on an individual 1 to 1 basis or as a small group of up to 3 participants if you have friends or relatives who would like to join you. The small size of the group allows me to provide personalised tuition and advice based on your experience and requirements and also to maximise the potential of each location without overcrowding.

In addition to visiting stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography – composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and many more.

A reasonable level of fitness is required as there are some steep paths to navigate but most of the locations are less than 20 minutes walk from the car parks. Please do not book if you are not comfortable navigating narrow clifftop paths (mostly the South West Coast Path).

Final locations will be selected according to the prevailing weather conditions on the day.

Ideally you will have a digital SLR or compact system/mirrorless camera with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures. If you have a FujiFilm X series compact system camera I can show you the many less obvious features that make this a great landscape photography tool.

All travel (to and from the photo locations) is included.

What isn’t included;
Travel to and from Cornwall, accommodation, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink, camera equipment inc. tripods.

This can also be run as a single day workshop featuring Botallack, Porth Nanven, Sennen Cove and Land’s End, please ask for full details.
