We will meet in the main car park at Minions and photograph the Hurlers stone circle and the remains of the tin and copper mine engine houses in the area. Next we will walk up to the huge granite slabs of the Cheesewring Tor, a natural geological formation created by weathering and erosion over many thousands of years, hopefully for a glorious sunset.

This photowalk workshop is limited to a maximum of 5 participants (a minimum of 3 at the £69.00 rate), if you would prefer it can also be run on an individual 1 to 1 basis for £99.00.
A reasonable level of fitness is required as there is a 30 minute walk up to the Cheesewring.

In addition to visiting these stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography – composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and anything else you may wish to learn or cover.

Ideally you will have a digital SLR or compact system/mirrorless camera with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures. If you have a FujiFilm X series compact system camera I can show you the many less obvious features that make this a great landscape photography tool.

All tuition and advice during the evening is included.

What isn’t included;
Travel to and from Cornwall, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink (Minions has a shop, pub and tea room), camera equipment inc. tripods.
