Beech trees reach for the sky at Win Green Hill. The beech clump is on the summit of Win Green Hill, 911 feet above sea level and there are fabulous views as far as the Needles on the Isle of Wight 32 miles to the South-West and the Mendips to the North-West. I made this image lying flat on my back in the mud with the Nikon D800 and Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8 lens zoomed right out at 14mm while leading a Dorset Inland workshop. OK so this is just over the border into Wiltshire but most of the other locations were in Dorset!
