The National Theatre on London’s South Bank hosted the awards and private view for this year’s Landscape Photographer of the Year organised by Take A View.
Charlie Waite led the proceedings with his actor friend David Schofield presenting the overall winner Tony Bennett and the young Landscape Photographer of the Year Christopher Page with their awards.
Having already seen the images in the Landscape Photographer of the Year book (click here to buy) it was interesting to note the amazing quality of the images shot on film, in particular Ian Cameron’s ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ made with a Pentax 67II and the huge panoramic print ‘Roundway Hill’ by James Hourd made with a Fuji GX617. Also the images made with Carl Zeiss lenses, especially the Distagon 21mm f2.8, featured amazing depth and detail.
The exhibition is free to view and continues until 9th February 2014 at the Lyttleton Exhibition Foyer, National Gallery, London SE1 9PX.
