A pair of Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) trees in the New Forest National Park in Hampshire. These huge Wellingtonia were planted around 1860, the tree on the left stands at 51 metres tall (with a 9 metre girth!) and is the tallest Giant Sequoia in England, the right hand example is ‘just’ 47 metres.
