The Crowns Engine Houses at Botallack Head near St. Just in Cornwall. Tin and Copper were mined here from the 1720s until 1914 with the ‘Boscawen Diagonal Shaft’ extending a third of a mile under the Atlantic Ocean. I have visited this location many times before but have never witnessed such clean and clear light, a huge amount of ‘toning down’ of contrast and saturation was necessary when processing this image.
