We will explore the harbour and pier of Porthleven for a couple of hours and then move on to Marazion to shoot St Michael’s Mount and hopefully a wonderful sunset over Mount’s Bay. If the weather cooperates there will also be the chance to make some night sky images after dusk.
This workshop is limited to a maximum of 5 participants (a minimum of 3 at the £79.00 rate), if you would prefer it can also be run on an individual 1 to 1 basis for £109.00. A basic level of fitness is ample as all of the locations are on level ground.
In addition to visiting these stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography – composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and anything else you may wish to learn or cover.
Ideally you will have a digital SLR or compact system/mirrorless camera with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures. If you have a FujiFilm X series compact system camera I can show you the many less obvious features that make this a great landscape photography tool.
All tuition and advice during the afternoon and evening is included.
What isn’t included;
Travel to and from Cornwall and between the 2 locations, car parking, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink (Porthleven and Marazion have a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs), camera equipment inc. tripods.
