Easter Sunday saw the 10th Bristol VR revival and vintage bus running day based at Penzance Bus Station with vintage bus services running from 10.00 until 17.00.
Routes included Penzance to Camborne, St Ives, St Just, Hayle, Marazion/Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands, Paul/Sheffield and out to Sennen Cove and Land’s End. Last year a new circular route to Sancreed via Newlyn Bridge, Drift and Tremethick Cross was introduced which proved to be very popular so was included again in 2017 along with an open-top town service around Penzance, Marazion and Newlyn. A new short working to Relubbus was also introduced this year. Small vehicles ran into Mousehole including the Bristol SUS, one of the many highlights of previous events. The Penzance Running Day is renowned for the spectacular coastal and country scenery and a new feature was mystery tours by Royal Blue coach.
